Mid-Week Ride Report – Tuesday 19th November
Eight rides gathered at the Greensborough Service Station on a cool morning leaving at 9.00am for a pleasant ride through Diamond Creek, Kangaroo Ground, St Andrews and Buttermans Track to Yarra Glen then onto Old Healesville Road to Healesville.
There we met Graham who looked very relaxed sitting on a chair outside the Willow Jackson Cafe enjoying his coffee, so we joined him and spent a pleasant hour talking with our coffee and treats, by now the sun was shining with the promise of a lovely day ahead.
As nice and enjoyable as it was sitting there, we thought it best we ride on, riding through Woori Yallock, Yellingbo, Cockatoo arriving at our lunch stop Spencer’s Store in Gembrook and meeting up with Terry, Brian and Garry sitting outside eating lunch in the lovely dapple sunshine.
After lunch Ian left to visit friends locally and David and Mez left for home early after their big weekend at the Northern Eastern Rally.
The remaining riders left via Gembrook Launching Place Road and Parkinson Road onto Yarra Junction where Terry and Brian then left for home.
We then travelled on Don Road to Healesville for a petrol stop before leaving to make our own way home after travelling 185kms for the day.
A very relaxing day which I am sure was enjoyed by everyone.
