Classic Motorcycle Club of Victoria Inc.

First Aid Course – Sunday 28th July

A group of enthusiastic club members attended the Motorcycle first-aid course organised by Ian Snadden with our amazing and knowledgeable instructor Deb Geerts. Deb is a nurse and a motorcyclist with a passion for teaching first aid.

We spend the morning looking at and discussing procedures, followed by practical demonstrations in applying CPR, using a Defibrillator and wound dressing.

The information was clear and concise and instilled confidence in exactly what to do if an accident situation arose. The course was very informative and a lot of fun.

It is a skill that we all need to have with the hope that we never have to use it.

Stay tuned for the next course, it’s a must.

After cutting away Scott’s tee shirt for access to bear skin the defibrillator was applied.
Comparing defibrillators, the personal CELLAED defibrillator seemed to be the best for being portable and compact.
