With Geelong rep Stan sunning himself in warmer climes 6 turned up and had a discussion on where to go, settling on Ballan as we had not been there for a while. Nick led the ride out through She Oaks, Morrisons, past all the wind farms to Mt Edgerton and then into Ballan, about 100k from the start. It had been getting steadily colder as we slowly ascended on the ride, but there was a bit of sun around the Ballan bakery so we rearranged the outdoor furniture to make the best of what warmth there was from the sun. After spending probably too long at the bakery we all set off from home down the Ballan road. A good ride, all red plate bikes which behaved themselves, interesting roads, hardly any traffic once away from Geelong and good company, so a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
