Geelong Run Report
Sunday runs 15/09/2024 and 22/09/24
Very long run this month – from the 15th to the 22nd! Actually not so -the first run attempted on Sunday 15th turned out to be a bit of a disaster and we only managed 2 kms as far as Rod Dutton’s garage! The reasons for this were threefold:
- Stan’s Triumph broke down again at the start! ( 2nd clutch cable in 3 months, but fixed now with clutch slackened off a bit, two new clutch cables – one spare- and a new clutch release mechanism).
- Only two members turned up due to confusion as to which was the 3rd Sunday of the Month???
- The weather was crap.
So a second ride was held today on the 22nd and 5 riders happily headed out through Ceres, Bannockburn and Shelford to end up at Inverleigh for coffee. Nice twisty bits of road on the Shelford Inverleigh road with only a little bit of a rain shower or two to slow one down.
Highlight of the day was young Ethan Crosby joining us on his beautifully restored 1999 Yamaha R6 which is fully club registerable. He did all the mechanics and the lovely grey paint job himself! (See photo). We hope to see more of him.
